When you work, you work hard. When it is time to relax, one favorite spot is your leather recliner chair. This chair lets you put your feet up and lean back. You may watch a good game, movie or take a little snooze. If it is time for serious conversation, you can put your feet back down and focus on what is being said.

Recliner chairs have been available for many years. Some remain stationary when the foot rest is down, while others become rocking chairs. They are often a comfortable solution for a side chair in the living room but are most popular in the family room or den.

Recliners may be covered in many different fabrics; however, one of the most comfortable is leather. It is easier to keep clean than fabric covers but unlike vinyl coverings, leather still breathes. This makes it even more comfortable for long games or when that little snooze turns into a long nap.

No other fabric is as durable as leather when it comes to upholstery. Many leather pieces have remained in great shape for over twenty years.

Leather can be dyed to match any home decor. In addition to all the natural tones, you will find that the chairs are available in all the colors normally associated with home furnishings.

These chairs can also be found to match almost any style. No longer are they just the big chair in the corner. You will find delicate looking chairs that have a footrest that pops out and a back that can recline.

With the new home theater craze, you will find that three to four leather recliner chairs have been joined together to form home theater seating. This allows everyone to enjoy the game with their feet propped up in front of the big screen.

If you make an investment in leather furniture, you need to clean it on a weekly basis. If the furniture does not see a lot of use lightly dusting with a soft cloth may be all that is needed. For furniture that is used every day; however, you will want to use the brush attachment on the vacuum cleaner to keep it clean.

If there is a spill, be sure to clean that spill immediately. Remove any food particles and blot the stain immediately. If necessary, you may need to use a very gentle soap with warm water on a soft clean cloth to remove any traces of the stain from your leather recliner chair.
