The most wonderful l thing about outdoor weddings is, that you have the to bring together your wedding theme with the natural beauty of the location you have chosen and you can keep your decor uncomplicated. Try to complement the natural colors of the ceremony setting, this way you will only need a few decorations to be a foil for what nature has already given you.

Ceremony Decor

Enhance nature do not try to win, sustain an elegant simplicity with your decorations and you will find the outcome truly stunning. Beautify your ceremony location consider trying any of these ideas, think of the following key words while planning your décor:

Simplicity – There is an old phrase “less is more”, I always see simplicity in floral arrangements, as mirroring an effortless harmonization with its surroundings. Which means that simplicity is usually a little more difficult to achieve, because whoever is doing the decorations needs to be sensitive to the natural surroundings for the outdoor weddings? Color combinations can either match the existing natural beauty or strike a subtle contrast, use shapes to bring out the colors, have different heights, maybe even tiered floral arrangements they can work effectively. Keep the number of arrangements on the low side, remember enhance nature not compete.

Elegance – here is where you get chance to demonstrate your style!, try using mock architectural artifacts like fluted pillars, trellis, use anything that you can get to the location easily. Green foliage with contrasting leaf shapes shades green or variegated leaves, either in tall vases, planters or elevated on columns or pillars, can be the epitome of elegance, when used with style. The understated use of ribbons and tulle on trellis can also add stylish finishing details to the overall effect.

Candelabras – a little more ostentatious but if they fits in to your overall scheme and you love candelabras then go for, it is your day.

Archways – wooden, natural or floral are all brilliant for giving a focal point for you ceremony

Aisle runner – this may be necessary to protect the grass, plain colors are best and make sure that it is firmly secured.

Chair covers and bows – look good on the first row of chairs they draw the focus to the front of the ceremony area when your guests are being shown to their seats. Remember when the guests are seated you cannot see them at all. Note these can be quite an added expense.

Row end decorations – are very popular and they are extremely visual, they draw the focus down the aisle to where the ceremony will take place. Use floral, tulle, even potted plants. Note do not allow them encroach into the aisle to much, or the may snag on the bridal outfit.

Complement the decor theme from the ceremony area into the reception area to create an overall designer outdoor weddings theme throughout.
